„deception“ at Documenta XIII, 2012

While the Documenta XIII, 2012 approaches, you may
participate in an utopian art-project simply by subcribing
to the mailing list.

The project “deception” investigates the complex questions
revolving around death & rationality as the saying goes: “I
don’t fear my own death, because it’s not something that
will happen in my lifetime.” Is it irrational to fear nothing?

Are we not always moving in a very definite direction –
towards death? In fact, is angst part of the condition of
mortal, temporal beings conscious of the inescapable
future death?
